Ufone Providing Mobile Coverage to the 700 Km Long Coastal Highways
By the help of Universal service fund Ufone will now provide the Mobile signal coverage all along the coastal Highway of 700 Kilometers.
The inauguration of the project did by the Chairman PTA “Seamless broadband coverage from Hub to Jiwani: also called as Makran Coastal Highway”. The project is expectedly worth of 759 million Pakistani rupee and the ceremony is held on Tuesday in Islamabad.
A contract between both the CEO of USF Rizwan Mustafa Mir and CEO of UFONE Rashid khan has been signed.
The duration of the project is around 18 months and the installation of the BTS tower are almost 58. The length of the highway is almost around 700 km.
This initiative is one of the best projects in the IT history and also will be very useful for the rural areas population.
The broadband penetration across the country is also to be pointed by the Chairman PTA so the population of rural areas could easily connect to the world.
Rashid Khan the president and CEO of ufone said in the occasion that:
The USF was founded with the aim of promoting the development of telecommunication services mainly on under-developed areas of Pakistan. Ufone also believes on the same goal as well by providing the better cellular service on the under developed areas. This project is no doubt has been a significance as an important high in balochistan will be connected through broad band services under this initiative.
The senior officers of ministry of IT, USF, Ufone and different IT and telecommunication companies were also available on this occasion.
