Google Launched Augmented Reality Maps, But Only For Pixel Phones
Google is finally releasing its augmented reality walking directions today — but its only for Pixel phones.
At I/O Conference, Google has announced that it was launching a preview of AR walking directions in Google Maps, that is something offered limited trails of so far.
This feature is going to offer real time navigation through your phone’s camera: you can easily hold it up to see the arrows and directions overlaid on your surroundings.
it’s only available for Pixel 3A as well as the older Pixel phones.

Google had previously said that it would roll out AR walking directions, when they feel “satisfied” the feature was ready. We still don’t see the full rollout here — but the feature is going to be getting public trial run.
