FIA To Monitor Fake Online Faith Healers
The Cyber Crime Center of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to start a crackdown against the fake online faith healers.
This decision was taken during a high level of meeting on Tuesday.
The Cyber Crime Team of FIA has prepared a list of several pages over 1,000 on several social media platforms where the fake faith healers engage their victims.
FIA will closely monitor these pages and will carry out a sting operation with the help of the victims and other tools to arrest them.

FIA will also launch a public awareness program to let the public know about the different ways scammers target their victims so that they could avoid the trap in the future.
According to the FIA officials, the department receives a large amount of complaints, which are specially from the major cities of Pakistan, about online fraud from faith healers.
According to the sources that has said that the majority of these victims were women who has fallen into the trap, while seeking the solutions to their personal issues.
The sources has further added, that people has lost as much as Rs. 1.5 million to these online fraudsters in hopes for a better future or solution to their most pressing problems.
Most of these victims were from Azad Kashmir, Karachi, Quetta, Lahore and Upper Punjab, he added.
