Facebook Bug Temporarily Unblocked People From 800,000+ Block Lists
If you ever have blocked any person on Facebook, you probably want them stay blocked. At least you unblocked them yourself.
Facebook has disclosed that around 800,000 plus users were impacted by a bug that silently unblocked “some” people they have blocked.
This bug was alive till May 29 until June 5, the company says.
Worth Noting: The bug didn’t go too far to make the world be blocked to individuals your friends (even if they were your friends to the block), So anything an affected the individual might have just posted to a friend-only audience should have remained private. However, allow a blocked user to contact you via messenger, or try to re-add you as a friend.
While the Facebook is silent on this bug what it really caused the bug, they are sending out the notification which believed to be sent to only the affected people.
